Teen Activities

Monthly Teen Events

Teens are invited to join us each month for our Late Night @ the Library after-hours activities. These activities are developed by Teen Department staff in collaboration with the Teen Advisory Board. Recurring events include an Anti-Valentine's Day party, International Games Day, and our annual Holiday Party.

This month's event is "Escape the Library". Teens are invited to join us on Saturday, January 20th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Pope County Library. This event will feature two different escape room activities for teens in grades 7-12. Be sure to bring your thinking caps and prepare to beat the clock during this evening of puzzle-solving fun. We hope to see you there!

Popcorn and a Movie

The last Friday of each month is our FREE Popcorn and a Movie event at the Pope County Library. We feature a different new release each month. The movie is shown in Heritage Hall, and free water and popcorn are provided.

This month’s movie night we will be showing It on Friday, January 26th at 7:00 p.m. It is rated R for violence/horror, bloody images, and for language. No one under the age of 17 will be admitted without signed consent from a parent, and children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by a guardian 18 or older to attend the movie.

Family Game Night

Every 3rd Friday of the month, the Pope County Library hosts a Family Game Night featuring everything from childhood favorites to new and exciting board games, video games, strategy games, and card games. The games begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Bingo for Bad Prizes starts at 8:30 p.m.

The next Family game night will be on January 19th from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
