"Victor, Colo. Aug 20, 09. Dear friend. I keep thinking of you all and of your unanswered letter. We have had company since July 10. Lou Linnie and husband and Dear ?? her now the Supt of Bevier school Mabel Richards was here several days. We five are planning some visits in the near future. ???? know if they will materialize. Too many floods and Flashouts(?) to venture off the hill at present. Have seen the 10 mile district pretty well. Harry Browitt walked up to see the sunrise on P.P. a week ago. Then down to the springs for the day. Came up on the train. Hope you are all well. Nell Dunham is to be married. The last one of the 4. All one year. Love to all. F.H."
