"(1) Besancons, France, Sunday, July 20, 1919. Hellow Sweetheart, You'll wonder what I'm doing here. Fact is I came over here last Friday to settle a claim and didn't even get this far until the d_ _ d Cadillac went bad, but we got here and while I settled the business affairs the chauffer went to a garage to fix the car. Well, to cut it short, we are here & the car isn't fixed. I think we will get (no end to the sentence)."
