"My Dear May — As it has come to me that my contribution of cards to you last year was very unsatisfactory, I will make the change from original photography to colored post cards — which I trust will give you some small degree of pleasure. I would be delighted to have you for a Companion in a stroll through the garden Illustrated on the other side — I had a bad chill Friday — and have been on my back until this morning — will be all O.K. in a day or so. With love, your Uncle Tom"
