This magnificent avenue has just been reconstructed by our P. W. Secretary Dr. Cespedes and is a masterpiece of colonial style having it's central walk paved with granite forming beautiful colored designs. Laurel trees of the tropics give shade, and rich marble seats, bronze street lamps and vases complete the scene. Theaters, Club Houses, Hotels, Cafes, Luxurious Shops and Residences with large porches are located here, making this place one of the most interesting in Havana."
