"Across the Canyon from Mohave Point thirteen miles away is Kaibab Plateau. This view comprises Cheops Pyramid, Isis Temple, Buddha Temple, Brahnia Temple and the Temple of Zoroaster, and a glimpse of Bright Angel Point far away on the north wall of the Canyon. In the distance is Walhalla Plateau."

"Los Angeles, Sunday April 26, 1914. Your letter received. Arrive OK. Feel fine, "Buster" and the entire family have taken possession of me and I am awfully busy. Will write when I get a chance. All are well. This country is far above my expectation and I am agreeably? surprised to see things as they are. Show your letter to mama. Most sincere wishes, A.C.H."
