"7.9.10. Have not gone for Portland but hope to in a day or so. I have all my stuff packed and ready for the trip. Am well and having a good time. Hope you all well. Was out to church last night and had a good time. Today was pay—day. You ought to see my new suit. I suppose everybody is growling because of hot weather. Best wishes to you all, ACH. Tell Buster hello."
